FAQ
-
Where are you located?
I have lived in Park Slope, Brooklyn, for 20 years with my husband, Scott and Son, Edgar (16). I will gladly travel anywhere in the 5 boroughs.
If you need me to travel outside of the 5 boroughs I will consider it for an extra fee.
-
Do you work with dogs too?
I am highly allergic to dogs, so no dog training/walking/consultations for me!
I think they are adorable from a distance and wish I could be closer. If you have a dog and need help, you should contact a dog trainer near you.
-
Do you have cats at home?
I have two boy cats, Sokka and Iroh. They are 5 years old and giants! A DNA test revealed that they are 25% Maine Coon which explains their enormous size. You wouldn’t guess it by looking at them because they are short-haired tabby cats, one orange and one gray. They were found in an alley in Crown Heights as kittens in late 2019. I adopted them just before covid lockdowns which turned out to be a real blessing.

Have you always had cats?
Always.
I was a cat whisperer for many years before I decided to get my certification. My sister used to insist that I was half cat! I’ve always instinctually understood them and could communicate with them.

What is your background?
I grew up in New Orleans and the surrounding suburbs. I went to college at LSU and got my degree in Theatre Performance. From there I lived briefly in Austin, TX before moving to New York City to pursue a theatre career. I have spent 20 years working in theatre and continue to work on shows. I’m very lucky to be able to spend my life immersed in my two passions, theatre and cats!

Do you ever catsit?
No. I don’t have time for pet-sitting as a busy mom, theatre producer, and small business owner.
If you need someone to cat sit while you’re out of town, I recommend Universal Cat Care. They will take very good care of your cat while you’re away!
